Dr. Cheryl's commitment to the chiropractic field is further demonstrated by her role as an Adjunct Professor at New York Chiropractic College and Life University, where chiropractic interns complete their last year of schooling in her office.

A true athlete herself, Dr. Cheryl enjoys swimming, running, biking, and scuba diving, and she is an accomplished triathlete. Her unwavering dedication lies in helping her patients achieve strength, speed, and overall health.

When asked about her introduction to chiropractic, Dr. Cheryl Lee-Pow shares a personal experience. She suffered a severe back injury that left her unable to stand upright due to excruciating back and leg pain. A compassionate chiropractor opened his office for her on a weekend, performed X-rays, and conducted a thorough examination. The diagnosis revealed a herniated disc, later confirmed by an MRI. Through subsequent treatments, she made a remarkable recovery, allowing her to resume her adventurous lifestyle, including activities like skydiving, bungee jumping, and scuba diving. The positive impact of chiropractic care on her life led her to choose a career in this field, shifting from her initial plan to become a Pediatrician.

Dr. Cheryl encapsulates her perspective on pain, emphasizing that it's something to be experienced in life, teaching us to appreciate it, rather than something to endure daily.

In her spare time, Dr. Cheryl is known for her active lifestyle. She is frequently cycling, participating in race events, triathlons, fundraisers, and even engaging in the occasional muddy adventure with friends. Her commitment to giving back to the community is evident through her role on the Interfaith Works Board of Directors and her support of non-profits such as Warrior Cry Music Project & DMV Caribbean Ridazz.  Born of Trinidadian and Guyanese parentage, she is frequently attending Embassy events. She also enjoys mentoring interns as an Adjunct Faculty member for Northeast College of Health Sciences and Life University chiropractic schools.

Challenges are never far from her radar, whether they involve complex cases or new adventures. Dr. Cheryl Lee-Pow continually encourages her patients to strive for new and greater goals, and she often leads by example, embracing challenges herself.
