Meet Dr. Matthew Lee, a Virginian by birth, who has dedicated his career to helping athletes stay healthy and perform at their best. His journey began in childhood when he had a deep passion for sports but often found himself prone to injuries. These early experiences sparked his desire to contribute to the well-being of athletes and ensure they could excel in their chosen sports. Even as he pursued his career, he continued to play volleyball, one of his favorite sports, and engaged in powerlifting.

Dr. Lee attended the University of Maryland, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Public Health with a focus on Kinesiology. He later pursued his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. His expertise encompasses a wide range of techniques, including the Palmer package style of adjusting, Graston Technique, Active Release Technique, Full body levels 1 and 2, cupping, dry needling, and kinesiology taping. Additionally, he holds the certification of a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from NSCA.

Dr. Matt's approach to treatment goes beyond providing relief from pain; it emphasizes resilience and the prevention of future injuries. In the Fall of 2021, he further honed his skills by interning under Eric Cressey, the owner of CSP and head of performance for the NY Yankees. This experience allowed him to work with athletes of all levels, focusing on rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance training. Eric Cressey is renowned in the sports world for his expertise in shoulder health and biomechanics. Dr. Matt aims to apply the knowledge he gained at CSP to benefit his own patients and clients on their wellness and performance journeys.

Before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Matthew worked as a personal trainer at Lifetime Fitness and gained valuable experience through internships in various medical facilities, including hospital settings and with the University of Maryland Football team's sports medicine staff. His athletic background includes captaining the boys varsity volleyball team at Winston Churchill High School, where he received all-county honors and the player of the year award. He also played for the Maryland Volleyball Program junior Olympic team and continued his volleyball journey with the University of Maryland club team. Dr. Matt's love for volleyball extends to various forms of the sport, from 9man, grass, and beach doubles to indoor 6s and revco 4s.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Matthew Lee is actively involved in his community. He volunteers at MANA as a food distributor, contributes to projects with the Boy Scouts of America, and participates in activities with the Chinese Community of Church in Washington DC. He has a penchant for Disney, enjoys watching movies, exploring new dining spots, and indulging in board games.
